Brony Here!
Personally my favorite pony is Fluttershy, But I also really like Derpy Hooves (originally not so much, but then the whole censoring thing...I need to find the raging rant on this site so I can join it), Dr Whooves, and mostly other background ponies. Season 3 needs to start now.

Do you know about the Comic Con exclusive official Derpy toy from Hasbro? Not named "Derpy" of course, but muffins decorate the box and she has her derped eyes!

I just cheered a thousand cheers. Metalhead Fluttershy is SO MUCH WIN.

Edit:
By the way, if you ever want a pre-reader/editor/whatever you want to call it, send me a message. I can see a lot of little things like missing/misspelled words that kinda yank me out of the story itself.

Never watched the show before, but I've seen some pictures and the whole idea of the show is cute and all that good stuff. Talked to a few bronies before too. They sound like pretty nice people.

I watched it once with my grand-children. That was enough. Never again. What a dreadful concoction.

Everybody can't like everything. But at least you actually watched it before forming your opinion, unlike many other people.

When did you watch it? Are you sure that we are talking about the same thing?

Since getting into drawing a couple days ago, I found that it's really fun! My latest drawing, Angry Rainbow Dash:

She went through some sort of battle. All I really know is that she's super pissed off.

After Santa had brought Christmas
To Halloween Town
Jack Skellington disappeared
And was nowhere to be found

Again, he had set off to the forest
So he could explore
When he surprisingly came across
A new set of doors

Jack was delighted and ecstatic
And he smiled a big grin
And he said to himself,
"Another adventure soon begins!"

He thought for awhile, "Which door to go through?
Which of these door looks the most fun?"
But after much deliberation, he exclaimed,
"I've got it! I shall go through that pony-shaped one!"

My latest! Combining two of my passions.

I'm starting my research, but I could use some information from fellow MLP-FiM fans. If anybody is willing, could you answer some questions for me, such as:
1- How did you get into the show?
2- Why do you like the show?
3- Do you identify yourself as part of the brony community?
4-What do you think about said community?
5- And any other information you think is relevant.

1. My friend Sheila from a statistics class I took. She was wearing a Rainbow Dash T-shirt
once, and then when I first friended her on Facebook her profile pic was Rainbow Dash. Sheila was one of the best people in that class (she actually worked with autistic children, though she was neither that nor Aspie in real life), so that made me want to learn more about the show.

2. It reminds me of "Winnie the Pooh", with shades of "Sesame Street" in it. In other words, a show that's cute enough for kids, but surreal/clever enough for adults ;) And it doesn't seem to lean TOO heavily towards either audience.

3. Kind of. But that doesn't mean I don't like MLP FIM parodies. The "pony.mov" series, for instance, I find hilarious (though a large part of that could be the "Ren and Stimpy" fan in me!! :P ) I also HATE causing/being a part of "flame wars" online. Can't say the same about every "Brony" I've seen (Though the ones I know in real life are generally pretty awesome! Curiously, I know more adult females than adult males that are a fan of the series irl)

4. I love the Bronies I've come to know in person (and some I've come to know REALLY well online). The ones online that I don't know can be a little weird sometimes though, and not in a good way :/

5. I'd LOVE to meet a Brony/Pegasister that's into indie/alt-pop/neo-folk type music!! Sheila is one such person, so I've met one, but I'd love to get to know more. Usually when I search for a "PMV" (Pony Music Video) online, it isn't typically indie, and is only sometimes alt-pop. Seriously why can't I find too many Bon Iver or Joni Mitchell pony music videos?!? (Or should I say "BonBon Iver" and "Poni Mitchell"?! :P ) "Big Yellow Taxi" and Fluttershy would go GREAT together, and I can't believe no one has done this!! ! :D

What I'm really surprised is there isn't any REM PMVs. I want to do one for Shiny Happy Ponied. (And Freezing Luna by Neigham, as well as John Cage's 4:33).

Really?!? Unbelievable!! ! :x 8O R.E.M. have been a relatively well known group since 1987, and I've seen plenty of other alt-pop/rock musicians that have songs with PMV's!! R.E.M. are my fave band actually!! ! So that's just sad!!
