Darker than Kolchak: The Night Stalker [1974–1975] and lacks its quirky charm.

It was OK.

Darren McGavin is a hard act to follow.
I have not seen this yet.

The Great British Baking Show (October 11, 2024)
Episode 3 - Bread Week - Paul gave a first ever "Paul Shoulder Pat" (just shy of a handshake). "Just need some Parmesan cheese."

Ghost Hunters
Season 9 on Netflix

Episode 9 - Ghost Friends Forever

Episode 10 - Vintage Spirits - An old decreped nursing home (institution size) is going to be torn down. The owner is concerned the lingering spirits are going to move to the old orphanage next store. Jason and Steve are in the orphanage, trying to coax lingering spirits out. Steve comes up with a brilliant plan. "Hello. I'm a new teacher here, and I'm lost. Could you help me?" Okay. He's lying to the spirit of dead children, but I can see... no, I cannot make that into a good thing. I get it though.
Then they hear faint footsteps. So what does Jason do?
"HEY! YOU KIDS SHOULDN'T BE IN THE HALLWAY. GET BACK TO YOUR CLASSROOM." That, fellow Aspies is how one turns the spirit of a dead child into a psychotic nervous mess. Sorry. I've seen it happen to living children, and it upsets me.

Episode 11 - Hoover Damned - The team investigates the Boulder City Hospital in Nevada, which was built to serve the men building Hoover Dam during the depression years.

Episode 12 - Something in the Water - The team investigate the The Ems resort and spa of Excelsior Springs, MO. One time frequented by the ill to bath in the mineral rich waters, and by illuminaries of the day. Including Al Capone and FDR, though not together. Lots happened, but the best part was Jason and Steve were in the hallway, and a scream could be heard from the room Jason was standing beside. It was the room he was going to be sleeping in.

Episode 13 - Undying Love - A woman was in love with a married man for many years. Then in a move, worth of Bender from Futurama, writes to her he will not be leaving his wife. She was 50, and she took her own life. The attic in this episode was very active.

It is a different experience watching Ghost Hunters during the day. Also, I had no problems falling to sleep last night.

Abbott Elementary

Season 4, episode 1 - Back to School on Hulu

Not "Just Watched" but "Just Started"

Astrid, season 3, episode 8, season finale.
Astrid must deal with unforeseen surprises when she takes an exam she if more than capable at passing. However, if a situation should occur where she is unsure how to respond, she will freeze up while she tries to cope.

Meanwhile, there is a crimewave of "vagrants" being murdered. The first one in the episode is dressed in a very nice suit (I need to find a photo of that), and we learn he was dressed in a nice suit is so the police will take notice. They have brushed aside the other killings.

This is why I'm posting this "pre-watched." I predict the killer is the Olympic planning officials. I recall a controversy that the homeless in Paris were being pushed out so they would not make the city look poorly for the Olympics. On one hand, I find the thought quite funny, linking the show with real life, less deadly (as far as I know), schemes. On the other hand, there was an attempt to hide the homeless away, and I don't think in bed and breakfasts.
I know, by the end of the episode, it won't be the Olympic planning committee, and what I found to be on the verge of being marginally humorous will be as dead as homeless man in the episode. Also know as, there is nothing funny about it! Also, in NO WAY am I suggesting Paris actually ever killed the homeless to give their city an Olympic facelift.

I will eagerly be waiting for season 4 to be released for streaming.

Just Watched Season 3, episode 8 - Underground - Astrid
Good episode. Lots of surprises.
The Olympic planning officials had absolutely ZERO to do with the killing of the homeless. The individuals were selectively targeted.

In addition, I could not find a suitable picture of the deceased homeless man in a suit. So, I had to make one.
(I have also rewritten and hopefully clarified some of the previously written things above.)

The Penguin
Season 1
Episode 2 - Inside Man
Episode 3 - Bliss

There are times I cannot tell if Ozwald Cobb is lying or telling the truth, especially when he seems sincere. Often I can tell he is making something up because he wants to get something out of it. Sometime, I cannot tell.

Lying in acting role is something that sometimes fascinates me. Really great actors can lie so you know they are lying or you cannot tell. I've noticed this in murder mysteries. I will call them alright-okay actors. They are suppose to be convincing someone of something, and their lie is obvious acting. The actor acting like they are lying.

Not really a spoiler. Just long winded and likely not articulate.

I can see where both have an element of truth because I think average people are poor liars. They are acting like they are telling the truth, but you can tell that every word is like stumbling forward in the dark, searching for the next word to say, the next idea to make up, and simultaneously wondering if it sounds like it could be true? Colin Farrell does a class act when it comes to the subtleties of lying. Sometimes I can tell, and other times I suspect he is, but I cannot see any tell-tale signs. I suspect in real life he is like everyone else. It's easier to lie when a script is handed to you. In the show, it may be as simple as the director telling the actor "No. This is not actually a lie. It's the truth." So the actor delivers the truth, even though it is actually a lie in the story.

Watched this morning

The Penguin - season 1, episode 4 - Cent'Anni - or I would call it Sofia's Song
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver - season 11, episode 26 - Voting - and The Waffle House, hurricane metric
Agatha All Along - season 1, episode 5 - Darkest Hour/Wake Thy Power - Agatha and Oz Cobb have some things in common.
The Simpsons: The Most Wonderful Time of the Year - "Sideshow Bob joins the villains of Disney+ for a new holiday carol...for Halloween!" My comment, it was funny and fun.
