Last night we watched
Max Headroom [1987–1988] Season 1, Episode 4: "
Security Systems".
This episode's themes were:
- If you control an important and widely used IT infrastructure then you have power.
- Correctly used incorrect information can be a powerful weapon.
I recommend Max Headroom to anyone who likes Science Fiction with substance.I really enjoyed
Max Headroom when it originally aired. I enjoyed the British movie even more.
I watch so much, and post so little...
Watch
TMZ Investigates: What REALLY Happened to Richard Simons on Tubi TV
I enjoyed it. I never watched Richard Simons, but it is impossible not knowing who he is if you lived during the 80s. It was not a gossipy hatchet job, which is what I suspected, hoped it wasn't. It covered his childhood, his rise to fame and why he was/is justifiably loved by so many people.
I don't remember how to format a spoiler, so I'll just say he's an introvert and internalizes all the problems people told him. He has not been seen in public since 2014. He really seems like a lovely person, like Mr. Rogers.
Then I watched episode 7 from the latest season of
The Great British Baking Show. Custard Week.
Spoiler: someone was sent home.
Watched episodes 3 and 4 of
Devil in Ohio on Netflix with Emily Deschanel.
and I watched (two days ago) the complete series of
The History of Swear Words, also on Netflix. It was very good and informative. I would not have watched it except it has Kory Stamper in it and I have a Nerd/Media crush on her. Her intelligence tickles my brain wrinkles.
I personally do not swear much. I don't have a personal swear word. It is more of two words linked together. The first word is "Crap" which I understand has gained public acceptance, in other words not bleeped. The second word is the synonym of crap, starting with an "S" that is working its way towards public acceptance (words not bleeped). I used it mostly to describe software code I'd written when I was not at all happy with the design. I'd tell coworkers "It's a piece of crap s***." and trust me, I meant it.
If you are offended by the word crap. my apologies. S*** was episode 2. Episode 1 was the mother of all swear words. It starts with an "F"
