Watched the first 4 episodes of Haruhi Suzumiya (in chronological order). My only regret is that I put off watching it for so many years. I really like it.

It is dificult to be in the anime comunity and not hear about the Haruhi Suzumiya series. I really for the most prefer to watch it in the original order, other wise you end up with the climax in the middle and watching some guy fetch a heater in the first season, which was intentioally done. Either way you have to watch the SOS brigade's movie, first it is really insane as you really can not really follow it, though you will look back at it with a sense of irony. Even the second season actually works itself in between episodes of the first season, such as how they actually made the film, which is actually pretty frightening at some points. Then there is the movie which is meant to be watched with two of the story arcs from the second season in mind.

As for me lately, I saw episode 11 of Usagi Drop, which was the last episode of the season, or even possibly the series, which is rather sad as I think it was an amazing series that never required any action, over complex plots, ecchi, or or supernatural themes at all. Just a man looking after his recently orphaned young relative. The animation took me a bit off guard at the begining, but I think it works well with the series where it can be cute, funny and heartwarming without trying to be.

Also saw episode 11 of Mayo Chiki, in many ways it is just the same type of ecchi harem comedies, with things like makeing the main have a fear of women (his nose bleeds as a safety mechanism from being used as a punching bag by his younger sister), and the main female lead is a dangerous anime butler that has to pretend to be a guy. But the reason I have felt drawn to the series is that there is character who would normal be put into the ojou-sama role, but she is a really big sadistic troll just messing around, that half causes problems, and half actually helping the characters, and for some reason I really find something awesome about her face.

Excel Saga, Ep 9. I haven't seen many things that absurd. I think I love it.

Naruto, Ep 30. I've just started fast-forwarding through a lot of the flashbacks.

At the moment I'm watching dragon ball z, i'm up to episode 12. Some of my favourites are wolf's rain, bleach, fruits basket, vampire knight and full metal alchemist.

Not so much an episode, but I recently saw an old What-a-Cartoon from Cartoon Network again, and this particular one is 'Larry And Steve', about a brainy dog who is adopted by an idiot who happens to be the only one who can understand him.

It's also the spiritual predecessor of Family Guy.

Hidamari Sketch Episode 1

I have high hopes for this. It seems really smart and subtle.

Also, I've watched most of Naruto Seasons 1 and 2, tte baioh!

Edit: I just discovered that it was Hidamari Sketch Season 3, Episode 1, so I have two previous seasons to enjoy while waiting for the rest of this season to come out!

So, Hidamari Sketch, Season 1, Ep 1-4. I find this wonderfully understated and conceptual. Serious this time.

I have been at it myself for over ten years and I have some all time favorites:
Sailor Moon
Dragon Ball Z
Kuroshitsuji
Ronin Warriors
Rurouni Kenshin
Wolf's Rain
Death Note
Cowboy Bebop
Sayonara, Zetsubou- Sensei
Elfen Leid (SP?)
Gundam Wing

My thing now is finding a series that takes the usual elements within their genres and doesn't bore me to death. Anyone else have that issue?
