I'm just wondering since I know they have a character AS named Connor. I honestly think they did a poor job of promoting awareness for it. I mean they pretty much just used all the general stereotypes. It sucks because when I see him, I just have to look away in disgust now. I mean he doesn't even have the right traits. They got his sensory issues all wrong and his limited interests as well. I mean its all just the stereotypes people use on us thinking that its what we are.

I thought he was stereotyped as well.

Yeah. I mean the pencil tapping thing, the interests, the sensory issues... it was all wrong. I mean its like they can't ask an autistic's point of view. They only go by what others say who are mostly NTs.

I've seen it and watch it occasionally. I haven't seen a lot of Connor though so I can't really give an opinion on if he's pretty stereotyped or not.

I've only seen a few episodes of that show, so I don't even know who you're talking about.

I've seen Degrassi, I am a HUGE fan of the show.
Its actually the first time I've ever heard of Aspergers. I don't think they show Conner enough for him to develop as a person.

I used to go out of my way to never miss a single new episode. These days, now that much of the original cast is gone, I've all but lost that initiative. If I want to know what's happening in the show, then I'd just read about it online. If you ask me, the show should have ended after season 7 (after the graduation of Emma and Manny).

The one thing I'm disappointed about over Conner is the fact that he remains a background character while all the other new characters are explored more in-depth. So far he's had only one storyline for himself. I'd really like to see more character development for him.

Yeah... same here. I mean it was cute when it first started out but now it fills up with so much drama that its not even worth watching. D:
