Nothing could ever beat The X-files

But right now, my favorite is Criminal Minds.

In recent years I would have to say that Dead Like Me is one of my all time favorites.

i was captivated by every episode of this little known australian show which depicts the moral-less motivation that fuels the furnace of the production of a typical "current affairs" program. it is hilarious to me (and it is written as a comedy as well, and it is rarely that i identify with humor that is externally presented).
it is also delightfully educational. it is a true rendition (albeit exaggerated) of what i expect to happen behind the scenes in the production of the nightly current affairs program.

here is one half hour episode i find to be well worth using as an example (split into 3 files). it is called "the siege". i know no one will watch it, but there are not many threads i find interesting at the moment, so i may as well post it. it is very well thought out, and quite well acted by most of the cast.

Not sure if anyone's mentioned 'The West Wing' yet, but that's a great show. Intense, intelligent scripts and a surprising amount of humour at times. Battlestar Galactica reimagined was great too, as was Six Feet Under, all contenders if you ask me. Oh and obligatory mention for 'The Wire', I'm not sure everyone would enjoy it but it's an expertly made TV show. Oh and Deadwood, I'll stop here, I'll only keep thinking of more...

All time fav is probably "The Wonder Years". Followed closely by "Quantum Leap"...and cannot omit "Frasier", "Family Ties", "Everybody Loves Raymond", "Big Bang Theory", and the all too briefly run "Freaks and Geeks"
