Romantic Films with a Character with ASD

Well I have an idea of one though could work as a TV Series...
Anyway I'm asking if there is a film like that where the person with the disability isn't highly intelligent but just an average guy or girl.
Starts of with series of past events that are troubling a.k.a kids saying "creep" etc. then the person wakes up... which wakes the partner up...
That's what I have so far.

Hollywood likes stereotypes. Their aspie lead would have to be superhuman. By this I mean he would have to be ultrasmart (Spock, Adam, Dr. Spencer Reid, etc.)
Can you imagine an aspie version of My Name Is Earl or Everybody Hates Chris? The aspie version of those leads would have to be able to calculate pie in their heads to about 100 numbers. My goodness. Last night on Criminal Minds Dr. Reid is realizing he might be paranoid schizophrenic. He complained that, "last week I only read 5 books!" Superhuman, indeed.
