Lie with Me

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0418832/

I didn't come to realize that it was a chick flick until having thought it through, some days later.

All the time. I'm a middle-aged woman, and yet my whole life I've been much more interested in TV and film that is geared towards men. Dirty Jobs, Mythbusters, Ghost Hunters, The Terminator, The Road Warrior, Die Hard...you name it, I prefer it over anything geared towards women. I hate the Lifetime Channel, I loathe The View, and have little use for Oprah, Dr. Phil, Ellen, etc.

Yes I have. When I was 8-9 years old, I liked watching shows like Pokemon, Ben 10, Johnny Test, Bakugan and Transformers. I thought these shows were cool even though they were made for boys. I was in 3rd grade at the time. I guess you can say I was kind of a tomboy at that age.

The Golden Girls is my favorite show of all time and I'm a young male. Need I say more?

If the 'Care Bears' 90's cartoon was intended for girls I did not get that message.

I was gonna say all the time and I was gonna say define a show for guys - I think they make shows wanting everyone to watch them.

But, I have a specific example. I find Dr Nerdlove useful even though he says 'guys' and sort of implies men and women are different, I find his advice intended for guys useful for me.

I used to watch certain shows meant for girls, mostly a couple of anime shows, and I will admit that I still like those shows. even though I have not watch them since many years ago...

so my question is... how many poeple with aspergers/autism have enjoyed a show/any show that was intended for the opposite gender?

I once laughed at something on The View (it made me feel dirty).

I loved Cardcaptor Sakura and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Both are charming with great animation.

The two I can think of off the top of my head are The Good Wife & Ally McBeal

I enjoyed The Gilmore Girls every once in a while.

I used to watch "Powerpuff Girls" when I was a kid.

I've also watched Fruits Basket, Ouran Highschool Host Club, Magic Knight Rayearth, Sailor Moon, Cardcatpor Sakura, 7th Heaven, Gilmore Girls, and Joan or Arcadia.

I've also read the manga Kamichama Karin, as far as I know.

I tend to be into things that are either for boys, girls, or both, so I don't really care just as long as....they don't have certain stuff that might offend me.

I remember following 'Sailor Moon' more ultimately closely than my sister did. I was at a phase when I don't think I knew the word 'anime' specifically yet but their were some cues in the character design, animation and names in the end credits that hinted to me that there was something different about this sort of animation.

I noticed some members mentioned Sailor Moon here but I always thought that was a show for guys. The girls dress like slu*ty skewl-girls & there's lots of violence & fighting. Seems very guy friendly to me.

I can't think of any 'real TV' that I've watched that was marketed for guys. I have watched my fair share of animation intended for guys though.
