The Criterion Collection's edition of Rushmore was my very first DVD purchase.

I think mine was 102 Dalmatians. I got it for my 16th birthday.

I don't really remember. I'd say "Blood: The Last Vampire" might be it.

It was some Nintendo Power game preview DVD from around 2001/2002. I must have watched the videos on that thing about a million times. I was especially enthralled by the Metroid retrospective that it had, which gave a semi-detailed history of the games in the series up to Metroid Prime.

the 2000 Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas film, which was my absolute favorite movie at the time.

To Kill A Mockingbird - it was on special and it is a great classic movie

Manhunter, a 1986 prequel to 'Silence of the Lambs that's directed by Michael Mann, my favorite director.

The first dvd I got was season 1 of stargate Sg-1

i believe it was the animatrix.

I think my first DVD was probably Ghostbusters, although it might have been the first season of The Simpsons. I can't remember.

Couple of Transformers episodes. Cheap; selections of about 3 episodes per disc, not collecting full seasons or anything like that. Still, I was over the moon with them, as I hadn't seen the original Transformers cartoon in 7 years or so.

Pirates of the Caribbean!
