Javier Bardem gave a great performance as Raoul Silva in Skyfall, to me, Silva was one of the best Bond villains since Alec Trelevayn in GoldenEye. Don't get me wrong, Le Chiffre in Casino Royale was a great Bond villain, probably in the Top 5 of best Bond villains.

So even though the next Bond movie won't be released for another 3-4 years, who do you think should be cast as the next Bond villain?

I don't know half the people in the list of poll options, so I can't comment on them. How about Condoleeza Rice?

Peter Dinklage or Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. Game of Thrones had one Bond villain on the show (Sean Bean) -- why not another?

Michael Fassbender. After seeing him in Prometheus, I could see him playing an excellent villain!

Dwayne Johnson... That would be both hysterical and kind of cool for me. :)

Philip Seymour Hoffman as the mastermind, with Adam Baldwin as his enforcer.

Paddy Considine, he would make a good Bond villain.

Or one of these guys:

Forest Whitaker
Daniel Day-Lewis
Kenneth Branagh
Tom Hardy

1.} Rachel Weisz

The chemistry between her and Daniel Craig would be great, given the fact they are an actual married couple. IMOO, casting a Bond villainess would be beneficial for the franchise since most Bond villains have been guys.

2.} Kenneth Branagh

Not only would he make a great Bond villain, he should be considered to direct the next Bond movie. He did an excellent job directing Thor and is directing the Jack Ryan reboot, which is set for release at the end of this year.

3.} Dwayne Johnson

An article mentioned that Dwayne Johnson's grandfather was in George Lazenby's only Bond movie as the Bond villain, so...why not, right?

Johnson's grandfather was actually in You Only Live Twice, during the right between Bond and said henchman.

I really like the suggestions of Michael Fassbender and Paddy Considine. Philip Seymour Hoffman would be good, but he already played a Bond villain in Mission: Impossible III.

I didn't care for the villain in Skyfall. Good performance, bad writing. Hes portrayed as some amazing hacker and we never see him use a computer once, we are just constantly told how awesome he is. Plus he makes overly convoluted plans full of details no one could anticipate in advance and with such a low level goal that earlier in the film he proves he could pull off if he actually wanted to, so his complicated plots end up doing nothing and just being dumb. Plus it takes like half the movie for him to show up in the first place.
