Yes I do, I wish I was James Bond. I think that the best ones were the late 1980s and 1990s films

I love James Bond films. Best Bond was Roger Moore in my opinion. Best film: Live and Let Die.

Pierce Brosnan was very good too and I loved Die another Day.

If you watch Hitchocks North By Northwest you can see a precursor to the James Bond character I think.

"For England, James?"
"No. For me."

Awesome and tearjerking at once.

Yey Roger Moore is my favorite Bond too. But my favorite is octopussy. When I was little I used to copy Roger Moore because he had really good social skills. Turns out people thought I was even stranger ah well :)

The only disappointing movie was diamonds are forever and although many people don't like a view to a kill I used to love it because of the make shift snowboard with the "Californian girls" sound track. I also quite liked Pierce Brosnan especially in the world is not enough and tomorrow never dies. I think I like them all really and I could go on for days! :)

My maternal Grandmother had been a big Bond movie fan. We used to take her to see them in the theater when I was a kid.
My own personal favorite James Bond was Sean Connery, while my favorite Bond movies are the most recent Daniel Craig films. In fact, I can easily see Craig's Bond as a younger version of the Connery original.

Certainly not in height!
There's something about about his ruthlessness, along with his wit and charm that seems Connery-ish about him - or at least growing in that direction. Hey, just my opinion.

Ah ok I can see what you mean now :) I was watching thunderball and comparing it to casino royale and some of the moments do share some similarities.

ME! PICK ME!

I grew up watching James Bond movies with my Grandpa. So I got my love for them from him.

They definitely aren't the pinnacle of cinematography, in that I don't see them winning an Oscar for best film. But as movies to relax and watch without requiring tonnes of concentration, they are absolutely awesome.

Daniel Craig was brilliant in Casino Royale. Since it was James Bond at the beginning of his career, I enjoyed the way Craig made him seem more emotionally invested. It was also good because it explains the way Bond came to be the womanising double O that we love.

I think that the theme songs also deserve a mention, even if this isn't a music thread. Some famous musicians have written/sung themes. Alicia Keys and Jack White, Madonna, Garbage, Chris Cornell (from Soundgarden), Sheryl Crow, Louis Armstrong, Shirley Bassey, Nancy Sinatra...the list goes on forever.

James Bond is an appealing character, he's the bad boy who is bad for all the right reasons. He's charming and suave despite all his faults.

I would have gone for Clive Owen over Daniel Craig, Anybody agree?
But Pierce Brosnan should have had longer.

I was actually rooting for Clive Owen to be the next Bond years ago. But I do like Craig.
