I am enjoying collecting old movies at the moment. I am not sure if a thread like this one already exists but I thought it might be nice to have a thread to post links for old black and white films, musicals or classics that can be found online for anyone who wants to watch them.

I shall begin with a Norman Wisdom flick (I like Normans films).

Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" Is an awesome movie, but don't watch the sequel. Also the original "Night of the Living Dead" is one of my favorite zombie movies. I could never watch them online though, I need a comfy sofa, a blanket, and a big tv

Alfred Hitchcock movies are very good.

I have a comfy couch, a duvet and a laptop that will connect to a tv via HDMI

my tv is only 28inches though, so on the small side.

I love older horror movies, such as the Universal Wolf Man and Frankenstein series, as well as old silent German expressionist classics like Nosferatu, and The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari. I can't imagine the full effect those films had without the haunting black and white format.

I like The Birds also. There is a popular hypothesis that the birds represent the psychic energy of the women that surround Rod Taylor. I think that this is true.

My favourite.

The Third Man and Dr. Strangelove are both fantastic movies. I'm also very fond of The Night Of The Hunter, 12 Angry Men, The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner, This Sporting Life and M.

Kind Hearts & Coronets starring Sir Alec Guinness in multiple roles.

The original 'St Trinians' movies with Alistair Sim

School for Scoundrels, in fact anything with Terry Thomas in it

As you can tell I like old comedy movies
