To anyone who has watched Studio Ghibli's movie Princess Mononoke you will notice that one of the primary characters, San (aka Princess Mononoke), is wearing a wolf skin as a cloak. This would appear odd for the fact that San is the daughter of the wolf goddess Moro and views the wolves as her family, so why would she use such an item? I highly doubt given her personality, that she could kill one of her own kin. My thoughts as to how and why she would do this is that at some point after her adoption, Moro had another cub and this cub died; because she felt outcast from Moro's family due to her human appearance, San used the skin of the cub to look, feel and smell like a wolf in order to fit in physically and psychologically.
