Most Mexicans didn't like the fact that Jennifer Lopez was cast in the role of Selena because Lopez is Puerto Rican and Selena was Mexican. If Selena did't die, JLO would never be famous for sure.

I suspect many Mexicans would also dislike the fact that Selena Quintanilla-Pérez did not herself speak Spanish except as a second language. she grew up speaking English. that she sang so well in Spanish is a testament to her talent and intelligence.

Personally, I admire the person that Selena was, as well as being a beautiful and talented woman who handled her fame with dignity, and showed loyalty and love for her family.

I think that Yolanda Saldivar is miserable, and is a waste of space in the world.

I am a huge fan of Selena and J Lo, I will probably see the film anytime soon.
