Bulma from dragon ball shows many Asperger-like characteristiscs like the well known genius mind of Bulma's and the inventions that she has made? She has also been known to act childish when she is mad and goes into tantrums. She is also obsessed with strawberries and boys? But could it be that Bulma is an aspie?

My Diagnosis
Officially Diagnosed- Asperger's Syndrome
Self-Diagnosed- PDD-NOS (resembles an Aspie but did not speak until I was 5)

Only real, living humans can be diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, and only under DSM-IV (now superseded by DSM-V).

Bulma is a fictional character, and a poorly-written one, at that.

No. Genius is not an Asperger's trait.

Off-topic: Sooner or later, the mods will probably tell you to move your diagnosis information into your signature, rather than putting it in your post. It's part of the rules.

Bulma does have obsessions in boys, science, and technology, which is why she is a super genius inventor and scientist. Having tantrums and obsessions does qualify for Asperger's Syndrome. Bulma does resemble an Aspie in most ways in her personailty, but what is missing for her in terms of being an Aspie is socialization. Altough Bulma is actually very sociable, she behvaves in every other important way of Asperger Syndrome and just about every single characteristic of Asperger Syndrome except for social inhibation. In other words, she is more sociable than Asperger people but in other ways is someone with Asperger Syndrome. Therefore I would think Bulma would be PDD-NOS instead because she met just about every criteria for Aspeger's Syndrome but whose sociability skills are actually normal like a nuerotypical. So Bulma might be PDD-NOS.

WTF is up with this thread? Social inhibition is not a symptom of Asperger's.
