That is good. It is a fun film.

I concur. The next installment is set for release Summer of 2023, but James Mangold is the director, not
Steven Spielberg who will remain as a producer.

Lady in White (1988)

This is a movie I loved when it was first released, and I've wanted to see it again ever since.
It's a well-written ghost story without stupid special effects or overkill.
It's actually one of the creepiest ghost stories I've seen, because it involves kids in the 1960s.

I kind of tuned out half way through which is normal for me (ADHD).
It stood the test of time despite one use of the N word at the start -- likely why the film is hard to find.
It ends up being a strong anti-racism theme and quite ahead of its time.

I would watch it.

Goosebumps.

Light, dumb watch. Wouldn't recommend if you don't have time to waste.

Last night we watched two movies:

Dracula [1931]
<=>"A NIGHTMARE OF HORROR!"
<=+=+=>With the original soundtrack.
<=+=+=>I think the 1999 version with a Philip Glass score has the music too loud. Good music but so loud it detracts from the film.

Bela Lugosi's most famous role.

Dracula 2000 [2000]
<=>"19th Century Chills Terrify the 21st Century"

An interesting twist on the Dracula tale.

I think the movie is better than its IMDb rating indicates. Maybe not a great film, but interesting.

The Poughkeepsie Tapes.

Very disturbing found footage horror movie/faux documentary. The discovered video tapes made by a prolific serial killer are examined as he throws the police and FBI off his trail by changing his MO, and even by incriminating a police officer for his crimes, and then is executed on death row.

Last night I watched:

Animal Crackers [1930]
<=>"The maddest comics of them all!"

The second movie of the four Marx Brothers.

"Hooray for Captain Spaulding!"

Goosebumps 2
A bit more substance than the first one. Still a waste of time.

Ready or Not
This was entertaining. Adam Brody stood out, as did Andie MacDowell.

When I was a kid I used to love the goosebumps books. So disapointing the movies were bad. According to my nephew they still have the goosebumps books in his school library.

Life After Beth.

Horror-comedy, where a young man attends the funeral of his late girlfriend, Beth, then discovers she's being hidden by her parents, still alive. Or is she? Soon, other people who had died begin reappearing, till there's a zombie plague.

I concur. Both ones you mention were indeed great, as was Samara Weaving's acting.
