Last night we watched:

Krampus [2015]
<=>"You don't want to be on his list"

Bad things happenOH NO!G O O DOH NO!

Well done but it contained more fantasy than I typically like in my films.
<=> :roll: Said the guy who likes a surprising number of zombie films.

I liked Krampus. It was funny. That reminds me of another Christmas movie called Rare Exports: A Christmas Story. I found that highly amusing.

The Shape of Water. Wasn't that impressed by it, tbh.

I've seen this movie before and you are right, a great story with
great performances with David Fincher (one of my favorite directors) at the helm.

What is your opinion about Guillermo Del Toro's direction of The Shape of Water?

The Horror Crowd.

Documentary about the community of low budget horror movie makers and actors. Very enjoyable.

Santa's Slay [2005]
<=>"Spreading holiday fear this Christmas"

The Taking Of Deborah Logan.

First rate horror film. Presented as a documentary, a woman suffering from Alzheimer's is filmed in her day-to-day life, when it becomes clear something terrible, besides the disease, is trying to take control of her.

The Hills Run Red.

A slasher film that actually keeps you guessing! A documentary filmmaker and friends search out a banned film that allegedly was so horrific that no copies are believed to exist. But who is actually filming who? And what secrets does the daughter of the movie maker really have?

Last night we watched another movie I suggested:

Night of the Living Deb [2015]
<=>"It's a Rom-Zom-Com!"

Afterwards my bride noted I had oversold how much "Christmas" was in the film.

But there is a scene in a Christmas store. That counts, right...even if the film is set on July 4? :roll:

I think it is one of the better-done not-a-blockbuster zombie films. It is lots of fun. She agreed.

Good film It is still R E C O M M E N D E DIt is still
Good film, really! Though perhaps not as a Christmas film.

Things (1989) on Rifftrax

I swear it wasn't until I read the description on IMDB that I had any idea what it was supposed to be about.

I can tell they really tried with this film. It is slightly better than a film I would make. That still means, regardless how hard they tried, it was "not great." I really don't want to say it was "bad." I know. My brother would say it was a piece of crap.

The riffing was appropriate.

I am adding this to the Weird Movies thread.
