Mission Impossible - brilliant action set pieces (did I mention this already?)

Sherlock Holmes - if you liked the first one it's more of the same. Not really my cup of tea. I figure if you're going to make an action film, go large like Mission Impossible, otherwise there's not much point.

I watched drive last week and then a couple of days ago i watched Heat. Heat surprised me because i'd been confusing it with traffic for years so when i finally watched it i was surprised to find it totally new.

I've been watching various scenes from carlitos way for the last few days on and off.

The Tintin movie with my 10yr old, we're both Tintin fans and both enjoyed it a lot.

We watched The Proposition last night on IFC. Very dark, gritty Australian Western, with incredible cinematographic imagery of the Australian Outback. Very good performances from Guy Pierce and Ray Winstone.

Zodiac

it bugs me when films don't round things off and give you answers, or at least enough info to deduce your own concrete answers- it's too much like real life.
it was quite long too

That's because it is based on a real life, uncaught serial killer.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol - not bad. Very like other MI movies.
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows - I liked it a lot but not as much as the first one.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) - Very good and very different from the Swedish one. I can't really say which adaptation I liked better.
Contagion - I don't really like epidemic movies but this one was OK.
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me - It's... weird, to say the least. I just finished re-watching the series and I absolutely love it. But this movie was just too twisted for my brain. :?

Yesterday, I saw Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

To me, it seems as though Gary Oldman is one of the most
underrated actors working today. He is awesome in this movie.

Does he play George Smiley?
