Badass Monster Killer.

Imagine if Sin City, Shaft, and Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos had had a baby, this would be it. Purposely goofy story of a badass African American secret agent, living in a city filled with criminals and barely dressed women, fights against a cult trying to bring back the Lovecraftian Old Ones. Great fun!

It was ok. I just didn't like it as much as Chapter 1.

Chaos Walking.

First rate sci-fi movie, where a young man is raised in an all male off world settlement where everyone can hear one another's thoughts. Then a woman becomes stranded there, and her thoughts are silent. He begins to learn the dark truth behind his cultish, all men community.

A great movie that didn't use so much cliches associated with war films.

IMO, it was a coming-of-age film that just used World War II as a backdrop.
