The Addiction.

A mysterious woman physically assaults a college student working for her Masters in Philosophy, biting her neck and drinking blood. From there, she finds herself painfully changing, most notably having developed an addiction for human blood.
Filmed entirely in black-and -white, this is a first rate horror film, and very much recommended.

Rise Of The Krays

A lot less flashy than Legend, but more coherent and substantial. Once again, seems a bit shaky on chronology and accuracy, but well worth checking out all the same.

What is your opinion, Brother Kyle?

The Music is the highlight of the film.

Alita: Battle Angel - rather liked it. The way they did the main character's animation was very well done and unlike a lot of other movies, they avoid the temptation to just go over the top with crazy large CGI battles but the CGI is really well done. Still, its not Star Wars or anything and was trying too hard at the end to set up a sequel, but if they do make one I'll be watching.

Stan & Ollie - Really well done - the two lead actors are close to perfect and the whole movie succeeds in capturing the charm of these guys and why they are such comic geniuses. But screenplay could have been a bit better, perhaps. IMHO its a little bit too much trying to make it like in private they behaved the same way their characters did on screen.

What Men Want - nothing wrong with it, but cliche and formula based and relying as much on the star power of the lead actress to sell tickets as anything. A woman can suddenly hear the thoughts of all the men around her. Pretty much giving her a copy of the enemy playbook before the game. Sadly just never becomes anything more than exactly the movie you'd expect with such a premise. Not that it tries to, but its an ok movie not great.

Second Act - About on the same level as What Men Want. This one is a bit too contrived, as a woman longing for something better out of her career and life stumbles in to the opportunity of a lifetime that she does not deserve, but instead of speaking up she tries to make it work anyway. Then a bit to many implausible coincidences occur that ruin the movie, IMHO.

Spider Man: Into the Spider-Verse - best movie of any sort that I've seen in quite a while. Script is solid but the visual style of the movie is superb.

Vice - Really well done. Christian Bale really becomes and embodies Dick Cheney. But it certainly has a particular political point of view and if that doesn't align with your own, you aren't going to enjoy it most likely.

Serenity - This starts out ok and then the rug just gets pulled out from under the audience and personally what becomes the premise of the whole movie is IMHO just silly and absurd and, more importantly, uninteresting. Too bad because certainly has star power with the two leads.

Green Book - Another movie maybe a little too much formula based, but it really works. Maybe not the deepest movie but tries and succeeds on a number of levels.

Replicas - Probably the first movie with Keaneau Reeves I've seen since the last Matrix movie. Another movie that just requires a ton of suspension of disbelief to accept the premise and just the script overall is over the top unbelievable and nothing about the entire movie is really done at a more than just passable level.

On the Basis of Sex - another somewhat political movie, though less so than Vice. Really well done. The girl from Rogue One can really act! Who knew?!?!? Very inspiring.

Bicentennial Man. A pretty underappreciated Robin Williams movie, IMO.
