Last night we watched:

Greenland [2020]
<=>"It's the end of the world as we know it."

The movie is shallow and has very little story: Fragments of a huge comet bombard Earth. It is a bad.

The movie follows one family through this disaster. They are not as shallow as the story.
It held our attention and we enjoyed the movie.

And, even though the comet is characterized as being a "planet killer", a sequel is in the works.

H.P. Lovecraft's Two Left Arms.

Not actually written by Lovecraft, but has his recurring character, Randolph Carter, as the lead in a story very much influenced by the Cthulhu Mythos. Very low budget movie taking place in Italy, where Randolph Carter has been hired to restore the art work in a small village's church. There, he finds a growing sense of dread, culminating in a revelation of Lovecraftian Cosmic horror.
The movie finishes with the reveal that it's a story being written by Lovecraft, himself.
Once I was no longer distracted by the film's low budget film work and special effects, it rather grew on me.

Pluto TV went straight from the original Gojira to All Monsters Attack. Completely opposite ends of the Godzilla-and-company movie spectrum

Possum.

Rewatched this extremely creepy British horror film, where a disgraced puppeteer returns home to the cruel uncle who had raised him. There, he rediscovers his childhood demons which had inspired his horrific spider-boy puppet, Possum.

Loved this film. I prefer these kinds of Horrors that stay with you for a long time after.
