Green Book - really enjoyed it! Great film. Loved how Frank learned how to enhance his marriage, through the power of the written word, initially with Don's assistance ... and made it home for Christmas.

It's a 2018 American biographical comedy-drama film directed by Peter Farrelly. Set in 1962, the film is inspired by the true story of a tour of the Deep South by African American classical and jazz pianist Don Shirley (Mahershala Ali) and Italian American bouncer Frank "Tony Lip" Vallelonga (Viggo Mortensen) who served as Shirley's driver and bodyguard. The film was written by Farrelly, Brian Hayes Currie and Vallelonga's son, Nick Vallelonga, based on interviews with his father and Shirley, as well as letters his father wrote to his mother. The film is named after The Negro Motorist Green Book, a mid-20th century guidebook for African-American travelers written by Victor Hugo Green.

cecilfienkelstien ... Green Book was such a good film :) . Little wonder it had 55 wins, 106 nominations. Great acting, solid script and lots of humour. What did you think of it, if you saw it?

I enjoyed it too, Lady Juliette! :)

Frank Langella (as "Frank") had great chemistry with Peter Sarasgaard (voice of "Robot"), and there were some parts of the film where Frank realized that at some point, he would not be able to rely on himself for much longer given his age.

I saw the reboot of Child's Play, surprisingly different in themes in regards to Chucky. Would actually be interested to see these two continuities run simultaneously, since I think Cult of Chucky proved the old one still had plenty of steam, but I am interested to see how the technology ones could go.

Ad Astra.

Imagine if Joseph Conrad wrote Heart Of Darkness as a Science Fiction script, it would be this movie. Somewhat slow, but very enjoyable.

I enjoyed it too. Not a huge fan of Brad Pitt, but he gave a great performance as did Tommy Lee Jones!

My mom hates this (in a manner like she does against the book) because she believes that it's about guys who beat each other up for no reason.

I've told her otherwise, but she still doesn't believe me.

(And yes, Fight Club is one of my favorite cult movies!)
