I'm having trouble picking just one.

There are several that I consider more worth watching than almost every other show.

Dragnet- Both the 1950s and 67-70 series.

Nickelodeons Doug (not the Disney version)

Kitchen Nightmares- USA version but do like The UK version.

Bar Rescue

Motorweek

I'll 2nd Golden Girls.

The Golden Girls will always be my Number 1, but here'a other shows I loved that come in close.

Courage the Cowardly Dog
Sailor Moon
Mystery Science Theater 3000
The Twilight Zone

I also still love the older Simpsons episodes but I quit watching the newer seasons.

I usually watch all my daughter's favourite shows because she works hard so when she comes home I think she needs to unwind with a bit of escapism

I like what she likes though

Well, since short lists are now coming in, here is my short list...in alphabetical order:
- The Avengers [1961–1969]—and not just the Diana Rigg years
- Babylon 5 [1993–1998] and its whole franchise—some of the best science fiction ever on the screen
- The Benny Hill Showhe was a comedy genius and strikes me as possibly one of us
- Farscape [1999–2003] + Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars [2003–2004]
- Firefly [2002–2003] but in the correct order + Serenity [2005]
- The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy [1981]—the TV series, not the movie (the radio series was the best of all!)
- Lexx [1996–2002]
- Max Headroom [1987–1988]
- Red Dwarf [1988–?]
- The Red Green Show [1991–2006]
- Last of the Summer Wine [1973–2010]
I'll make time to watch any of them.

Honorable mention: Archer [2009–2023]; Doctor Who, et al. [1963–?]; The Expanse [2015–2022]; Sledge Hammer! [1986–1988]; and Tripping the Rift [2004–2007].

I wish Tripping the Rift was on streaming.

I'll limit myself to commercial shows from basic cable.

Fargo
The Leftovers
Breaking Bad
Better Call Saul

I'll give a shout-out to Everything's Gonna Be Okay on Freeform for its brazen treatment of autism and sexuality, which would have caused a scandal had it been on broadcast TV back in the day, but got away with it because almost nobody was watching.

Speaking of Freeform, I'll also mention Cruel Summer. Not a great show, but a worthy guilty pleasure.

Of course there's also premium cable and streaming. Easier for me to address these categories separately.
