I was thinking about this the other day when I saw a film I have on DVD listed on Netflix, but then if my internet is down on a day I'm not well and just want something to watch, I can put a DVD on. I don't pay tv licence, so can't watch live tv... I don't even have tv now.

I mean personally I dont own a DVD player. My memories of them as a child were of them always getting scratched and then not playing right.

I might save up for an Amazon Firestick so I can stream Netflix, Hulu, TubiTV, and Pluto TV :chin:

I have Roku, I LOVE it so much, I have Netflix, Hulu, TubiTV, Pluto, Roku has app for free tv & movies, they have Bewitched so does Pluto. I have more apps, Crackles, Boomerang, Hallmark Movies & more, I don’t use everything.

You can also buy tv show & movies, they have apps for people to buy or rent stuff, I’m thinking of buying Man With A Plan. I don’t know if I want to buy CBS for one show. I don’t have cable anymore :D :D

It's an HD TV that doesn't have the smart tv features, so I have to use a devic like a bluray player or firestick to stream Netflix and Hulu. :)

My mom bought it for me when I was living in a group home in 2016.

Just wondering because you may not need the brand spanking newest roku. That is more for 4k viewing. Though there is a night mode option which brings down the special effects so the voices are on the same level.
