Actors have starred in a couple of failed pilots, including Selena Gomez. How many failed TV pilots can an actor have?

I'd imagine that depended on the actor. You can act well in a failed pilot and have that be a credit on your resume and put it in your showreel. I wouldn't think having a failed pilot to your credit is much hinderance to a future career, unless your acting was terrible. I think it would be worse for the writer.

There is no quantitative measure.

i don't believe anybody has studied this issue. so likely there are no stats to be had anywhere.

Okay. How is that failed pilots get actors help them to be in bigger and better things?
