Finale sucked hard, wasn't even particularly entertaining. I'm starting to buy the conspiracy theory that episodes 5 and 6 were actually intended to be Mando season 3 episodes that were pressed into service to try and rescue the show in post, the quality whiplash is so bad that it's hard to explain otherwise.

Heh, you're probably not going to be as hard on it as I was, I'm starting to realize that I've against my will become a snob at some point, not quite sure when and how that happened. It should be just fine after a couple beers, I'll be curious to see what you did and didn't like as I have a long list of gripes, lol.

Why even have Grogu be trained by Luke if he's just going back to Din? Why did the mechanic refuse to call Grogu by his name? The last 3 episodes ruined everything! So much fan service and no substance! I was so disappointed! This was the first time I was disappointed by Star Wars, and I actually like The Phantom Menace.

Full of spoilers, but is an accurate criticism in my mind.
Agreed for the most part (particularly his comment about the whole premise of Boba Fett being an excuse to stitch up some loose ends from Season 2 of the Mandalorian (this is a valid observation).
Look Favreau and Filoni are creative but my thought is Disney only gave them small amount of play money so with a limited budget there wasn't much they could do. Perhaps they should have focussed on the crime gangs and not bought in big named actors like Jennifer Beals, Timothy Olyphant, Amy Sedaris, Rosario Dawson and Mark Hamill. These are big named actors who had small roles that sucked a lot of money. Getting rid of them would have freed up funds.
I would have liked to have seen more Cad Bayne and the mod-tech dude Stephen Thundercat Bruner. Speaking of the cyborgs. Sophie Thatcher and her side kick were interesting characters and more character development for these guys would have been great. A liitle more darkness like Batman and less Disney/Kathleen Kennedy would have helped.
