This was another show due to be postponed due to the Queen's death, like many shows.

But Channel 4, an independent broadcaster which doesn't have to obey the government, said 'No. We want to provide continuity and comfort for our viewers at this time.'

So GBBO will start tonight at 8pm! Hoorah! An hour of worrying about whether cakes will rise or not, who will be Star Baker, what funny things will Paul, Prue, Noel and Matt say.

A break from the sad and frightening world.

The GBBO is one of the greatest shows ever made. Everyone is so nice and sweet to each other.

Yes. It is EXACTLY what we need right now in all this uncertainty.

The Great British Bake Off back on telly.

Things are looking up… my favourite show.

Yes! It's so nice to focus on cakes and biscuits for an hour instead of horrible news stories.

I'm glad Channel 4 stood up the government and showed it.

I don't know what they're going to do about Celebrity Masterchef. Apparently they were making a special Jubilee pudding for the Queen, so who knows when they'll show that episode.

Don’t get me going about Celebrity Masterchef. It’s my second fave programme and I am upset they’re messing about with it. I think I’m big enough to get over the jubilee pudding… it’s a celebration and nithing bad intended.

Yes… I’m sad… but my third fave programme is the Great British Sewing Bee… what I don’t know about plackets, peplons and overlocking is not worth knowing.

Never fear! The Jubilee pudding episode is being shown tomorrow! I imagine with lots of warnings saying 'this episode was filmed before the Queen's death.'

I love the Sewing Bee...but I know absolutely nothing about sewing. It looks like alchemy to me. I can do cooking, drawing, pottery...but sewing...nope
