This was a nice video to watch as a Star Wars fan from 2002-2008. I left the fandom in 2008 due to Genndy Tartakovsky's Clone Wars no longer being canon. I refuse to watch anything Star Wars from 2008 and onward. The Force Unleashed video game may be an exception as the only thing from 2008 I may look into. Star Wars may be dying now, but the wound it is dying from was inflicted upon it in 1999.

this has been doing the rounds for > decade now. A popular theory is Jar Jar is Darth Plagueis, the former master of Palpatine. His disappearance along with Quinlan Vos, Barris Offee and Mace Windu are popular with fan theories.

Btw, why do you think Star wars is dying?

I hate it when no one watches the video. Fan reception at new Star Wars is at it's lowest. Fans are sick of Disney's corporate slop and lack of imagination. Darth Jar Jar theory is one small part of this video.

I simply lost interest in the franchise after Episode I.  Eps. IV and V were great, and IV was okay, but anything released after that I thought was pure 'Meh'.

Sorry, didn't have time to watch. Agree with the sentiment of the fans but this has been going on from the time Disney released the Sequel trilogy which I think illustrated the change-culture post George Lucas which was to completely disrespect the lore/cannon and each series has made this problem worse by hiring producers, directors and writers who have no prior exposure to star wars and who seem to lack creativity or adequate writing skills (the number of plot holes in the Acolyte make it look like it was written as a fan film despite having a $180m budget).

Honestly, after rewatching them a few years back I was left with the feeling that even the original trilogy isn't that great. Stiff acting, worse dialogue, terribly formulaic story.

I get why I enjoyed them as a 12 year old but I'm not 12 anymore.

Agree FE
I have re-watched the originals and it's really (well let's be honest) crap.
I think uber-fans weaponise the Lucas years and overplay the originals actual merit in the light of modern cinema.

But as a young kid in 1977 sitting in a drive in with my parents watching a "New Hope" with the night sky as a backdrop it did blow my mind. I was also swept up by the phantom menace on the big screen. I loved the lore/universe that opened up watching the clone wars animation. I can't deny the Lucas productions did make an impact on my emotionally.
