XMAS is a time when many people kick back and watch some good flicks, myself included. I watch the Sound of Music almost every year, and My Life as a Dog in the last couple of years.
Does anyone else have any feel-good movies that you traditionally watch, or maybe you know some that could be? If so, post them here! They don't have to be about Christmas, of course (mine aren't). :D

Some of my favorite flicks are "Miracle on 34th St," "Home Alone I" and Home Alone II," "A Christmas Carol," "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," "White Christmas," and "It's A Wonderful Life."

I forgot all about Home Alone, I used to love watching that kid! Isn't there a 3rd one?
I'm hoping to see "Wonderful Life" on stage this year.

Good old Bill Murray! Your avatar also reminds me, maybe I should watch some Tom & Jerry this year. I love the one where Tom gets replaced by a mechanical cat that subsequently ruins the house. :o

Yeah he's funny, I like groundhog day too. I think I remember that episode. I wouldn't watch the show now in this country, they have been edited. Thats just stupid, I know they are a bit violent but i'm sure the goverment could to better things to help children than ruin a classic cartoon.

Christmas Every Day!

It's a funny movie about a teen who keeps reliving Christmas.

I missed it this year though. Bummed about that. :(

I only watch one and two, because after that they use a different kid to play Kevin. And I think that's cool, if "Wonderful Life" comes out on stage!

I learned some trivia about that movie that was fun. First, that the scene where Uncle Billy is leaving the celebration party at George's house, stumbles and yells, "I'm alright, I'm alright!" wasn't supposed to happen. The actor had accidentally knocked over some props. And the set for Bedford Falls was really hot, and they used a lot of soap to make most of the snow effects!

My parents and I saw "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" on Christmas eve when it was in theatres in 1989, and have watched it every single Christmas eve since.

I'm also trying to watch all the Rankin Bass Christmas specials this year, but have become most fond of the ones that were just bizarre train-wrecks, like "Nestor the Long-Eared Christmas Donkey", and the only one that I like almost as much as the original Rudolph, "Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July". I love it because it tried to combine all their previous specials into a true mythology, and the result was a shocking, epic mess.

The Christmas Story.......the one with the kid who wants the gun, but his parents tell him he'll shoot his eye out. is that the right name of the movie?

The Shop Around the Corner

Holiday Affair

White Christmas

I remember :D , Brilliant! The comedy timing is impeccable. My favourite ones are when tom and jerry team up and are friends at the end. Tom and Jerry is as good as any cartoon and that even includes the Simpsons.
