hello fellow abductees!!
We've clearly been abducted by the show! I used to love it when FX used to run all day marathons based on voters choice!! Yeah, even though I've got all the seasons!! Right now I've been busy watching season 6&7. I have two versions of the movie!! One is Dolby Digital and the other is DTS. I prefer DTS to Dolby Digital anything!! Does anyone notice a difference in the surround with DTS versus Dolby Digital mixes on this movie?? I think the DTS version has more punch to it.

Another favorite episode is the one where Mulder and Scully go to Florida for an FBI thing and get stuck in the woods. I'll be back later when I remember the name of the episode.

I think that was called Detour from Season 5, about the camoflague creatures in the swampy forest area in Florida.

I think by Season 7, the conspiracy had kind of died out completely and they were trying alot of new things. I didn't mind X-Cops, it was alright. I'm watching the DVDs again and up to Season 8. At first I didn't like Doggett but now he's kind of growing on me so to speak. I should see a doctor...

I've been re-watching the seies too. I'm almost done with the last season. I've been watching since march! LOL...

Yeah I've been watch since May, I'm finally up to Season 9 Daemonicus. Not much more to go now...

Tom, the Duane Barry two-parter was of course Duane Barry/Ascension. I sometimes watch them back to back like a movie. It was the first episode to use outside music with of course Nick Cave's Red Right Hand.

I liked millenium, the last two episodes when Scully is about to die from Cancer and then gets cured "by miracle", the episode of the teenagers who were really speedy, the episode where Mulder was in a ship, like in the 30's and sees Skinner and Scully and etc... as other people, that was funny (and the reference to the spice girls was funny too), all episodes feat. the lone gunmen, the episode whare Mulderr is like asleep and he is like in his "dream world" with his sister and girlfriend and a good quiet life in general...

I didn't like the 8 season, when Mulder wasn't there... it just went down... but I liked the fact that I saw Scully on the other side, being now the "believer" trying to convince her partner who was "skeptic" (but Mulder/Scully is the dinamic duo and the X-files without Mulder were just wrong...)

I didn't get to see the episode where Mulder finds out what happened to his sister, what happened to her???

And.. was mulder son of the smoker man???

The truth about Mulder's sister was revealled in the Season 7 two-parter Sein Unt Zeit and Closure. Essentially she was traded to the aliens as collateral by Bill Mulder then was experimented on and lived with the CSM and Jeffrey Spender until she ran away.. I won't say the rest, it's probably better to watch the episode.

In the final episode the Truth, Jeffrey Spender says that he and Fox Mulder are half brothers of the same father, the Cigarette Smoking Man.

I will be continuing my marathon RIGHT after finals week. Salut! :D

BTW, has anyone heard anything else about the possible new X-Files movie??? I read awhile back they were going to try and make another one and it was supposed to begin shooting in early 2006.

" According to Australia's Empire Magazine, David Duchovny has stated that the second "The X-Files" film will begin shooting in December if schedules permit. The film will be a supernatural thriller."

Anyone?

The second X-Files movie has been talked about on and off in various ways, shapes and forms since the first one came out. Every few months there's tidbits saying "it'll depend on the creative team's availabilities" etc and that it will be a one-off "supernatural thriller". I expect if it ever does get made it would have to be simultaneously a supernatural thriller and a continuation of the mythology arc, otherwise fans would cry and scream and bite a bit.

Let's just hope it's not THE X-FILES 2000
