My favorite cartoon from the 1980s is the "Thundercats" because it did not have to rely on catchphrases (aside from "Thundercats, HO!! !) so much and it had a strong story and twists. Plus, the team did not have to rely on Lion-O to do everything to save their world (unlike, say, Masters of the Universe). They worked as a team and delt with almost equal villians led by Mum-Ra.

80's in my case.
My favorite was Black Star, then we moved and couldn't get it anymore.
Also the Smurfs.
I watched a lot of the Looney Tunes too, the origional ones.

I didn't grow up in the 80's, but I saw some reruns of some 80's cartoons in the '90's:

Some of my favorites are "She-Ra: Princess of Power", "He-Man", "Thundercats", "Garfield and Friends", "Heathcliff", and "Silverhawks". My favorite character from the "She-Ra" cartoon is Shadow Weaver and my favorite character from the "Thundercats" cartoon is Mumm-Ra.

I grew up in the '90s but i saw a few of the reruns. Some of my faverits wer Thundercats, the Smurfs, the Snorks, and Voltron.

"Dungeons and Dragons" is the best cartoon of the 1980s in my opinion. I have all the episodes in a D&D box set of five DVDs.

A cartoon show in Purgatory is pretty hard to beat.

I also loved those Disney cartoons that came out in the '80s especially Ducktales and Chip N' Dale's Rescue Rangers.

The last good Disney TV cartoon was Goof Troop which was made in the early '90s.
