Remember those drug PSAs from the '80s and early '90s, looking back on those commericials, they were so heavy handed that they were funny. If you wanna see those PSAs get skwered, here are the links to see those videos:

OMG I'm half way through the first one and i am LMAO. This guy is funny. Plus I wasnt around for these PSA so there new. ONLY PSA i remember was the one at the drive in during the break between the first and second movie. Some women in a black and white polka dot dress talking about cocaine. They were still using it when the place closed summer before last.

ok back to the movie.

Wow, I remember most of those.

It's funny that I actually worked on two of the newer anti-weed psa's, considering that, at the time, I was one of the biggest stoners you would ever meet. Hell, at that point I was making weed-butter for one of the top-rated medical marijuana collectives in the San Fernando valley (which is where the "valley girl" accent originated). In fact, most of the people involved in the production were currently stoners, or had been at some point.

Since then, I've come to realize that weed just makes my asperger's worse, and I've quit smoking weed altogether (I even let my prescription lapse).

I'll never forget listening to my boss (who is an old hippy, who I've talked to about smoking alaskan thunder-f**k) tell the head of "Partnership for a Drug-Free America" that he really wouldn't be heart-broken if his kids decided to experiment with drugs.

Here are the psa's. (By the way, the face on the "flat" girl is actually a silicone copy of Winona Ryder's face, flattened and contorted.)

Edit: I can't tell you how happy I was when I saw "Family Guy" do a spoof of "Flat" girl...

I wonder why they never do PSA's against LSD use...

"Hey kids, don't do acid. It'll totally make you see things that aren't there. And that sucks. Because we're telling you it sucks. So there."

My favorite PSA ads were:

The Pee-Wee Herman one--"This is crack" LOL A serious ad done by a fictious character.

The snake one--So good, it scared the NC!

"I learned it by watching you!"--I like NC's take on that commerical after that line.

"I'm not a chicken, you're a turkey"--Best comeback line in a PSA ad ever!

Of course the eggs commerical both the '80s original and the Rachel Leigh Cook ad from the late '90s!
