Has anyone seen "Mozart and the Whale" (2005) or "If Only YouCould Say It in Words" (2008) ?
If you had, what do you think?

Mozart and the Whale was a wonderful movie. It shows that everyone is effected differently on the spectrum. I thought Isabelle was the most closest to normal than anyone else in the group, she was perhaps borderline.

Has anyone seen the film "The Reader" - though not an out right direct connection. I thought there were definite aspie traits in "Hannah Schmitz" character.
The film is very complex and is based on the novel published in 1995 - which I seem to have been unaware of until now.
Though I couldn't help but notice some AS traits in one of the lead characters.
Any thoughts?

"billy the kid" is a documentary about a kid in a small town who has aspergers. there are a few scenes where he's talking to this girl who has a weird eye thing and then he asks her if she'll go out with him... it's really gorgeous. the movie's kind of excessively arty but kind of cool in some ways.

I've been thinking about Rose Byrne's character in Wicker Park. it's not an aspie character per se, but I kind of identify with a lot of it- a slightly dorky, quiet girl developing a romantic obsession, constantly acting like someone else, mirroring etc

I don't identify with the stalking part though.

all in all I wouldn't call it "aspie in love" sort of film, more like "weirdo in romantic obsession" which kinda comes close :P

Little Voice is a lovely movie. I never thought about the female character as an aspie, but I guess it could fit - she is very withdrawn & socially bizarre. I must watch it again actually.
