Hello just found this forum

I was diagnosed with Asperger's in my early 60s. I have been going through the "The that explains things" phase.
I am 68 an just retired. Hobbies are woodworking and rifle shooting (The only sport I was ever good at)

Welcome to WP! I hope you like it here.

I was 64 when I was diagnosed.

P.S. My bride is also from Texas. However, she is ADHD, not ASD.

Welcome to Wrong Planet.

I am 75 and discovered I was an Aspie (Asperger's Syndrome) around 5 or 6 years ago. You live most of you life and then find out at the last minute that you were a little different. That explains a lot.

welcome, diagnosed at age 68, 72 now, and it has been such a relief to learn everything I struggled with all those earlier years was not "all my fault" after all. Glad you found us!

Welcome Paul. I believe the "that explains things" can be either a temporary stage i.e. right after diagnosis or indefinite. And either way is ok! I think I'm in the latter category...more than 10 years after it was confirmed I'm on the spectrum (Aspergers as well), I'm still going "ahh yeah" at certain things
