Hi all,

I've recently been diagnosed with ASD, at 37, it was suspected but I was too scared to follow up on an official diagnosis!! ! I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder at 16 and all medical professions focused on that and didn't want to delve any deeper.
So now I'm just starting to figure myself out again.

I work as a Special Needs Assistant in a Special Needs school and have had great support from the principal and staff around my mental health and recent diagnosis.

My interests are varied from comics, cartoons and lego to psychology and a mild obsession with visiting cemeteries!!

I hope that joining this forum will help me as I figure stuff out.

(To clarify: I voted yes, but in a good way. There aren't enough weirdos in this world.)

Cemeteries are fascinating! I used to pass through one (Invalidenfriedhof) during my daily run when I lived in Berlin.

Welcome!

I enjoy walking through the local cemeteries. There are three, and they are all interconnected. I use to go for a walk through them at night. There are dense wooded areas along the edge of all three, and at night the noises are extremely creepy. Most of the time I would go after work. Like the roads in the cemeteries because they are mostly all curves. The trees are old, big, and very dark at night. I don't use a flashlight. Two of the cemeteries are very old, with some large monuments and gravestones. The third is not as old with mostly flat ground level grave markers.

I also enjoy reading the gravestones and figuring out how old people were when they died. That's during the day, of course, because I don't use a flashlight at night.
