AutisticAnomaly, Welcome to Wrong Planet.
I noticed that you indicated that you have Asperger's Syndrome or otherwise known as an Aspie. So am I but I have accumulated many more years. I am 76 years old.
So what information can I pass onto you? Humans are a much more advances species then most people currently know. That is because we have multiple brains. Some exist on the left side of our skull and others on the right side. Normally the left side is the dominant side. But some of us have right side brains. The following may lead you down a rabbit hole.
I will point you in the direction of Jill Bolte Taylor, PhD. She suffered a major stroke at around age 35 and came back as a totally different person. A right side dominant brain. Her first book, My Stroke of Insight describes what happened during her stroke. Her second book Whole Brain Living describes the human brain as four different beings, different personalities. It is a very good book to read. She also produced a very interesting TED video.
Greetings and welcome! Appreciate you taking the plunge here. My old stomping grounds are upstate NY...Syracuse, Buffalo and the Albany area more specifically
