hello, i'm a newly diagnosed autistic (less than a month ago) and i'm in the throes of re-calibrating my over-achiever life that has been regularly burning me out bad. burnouts have been increasing in length and intensity for years now. i'm relieved to know why, and also struggling to admit and adhere to my limits.

as for me, i like to journal, read, and play video games. i was a 90s kid hooked on legos and power rangers. i still have my childhood super nintendo and walkman, and i definitely had glow-in-the-dark stars all over my bedroom ceiling. my special interests also date back to then: ancient mythologies/folklore, vampires, and jedi/star wars.

Having a hec of a time keeping my old So ny clamshell CD players running . Lazer arms seem to keep dragging on them. But prolly have more than my share of a healthy collection of portable tape cassette players .

Welcome to WP! I hope you can begin to manage the burnouts etc. Maybe you can get some help from this place. As for Legos..my childhood interest in them was rekindled a few years ago when I received a lighthouse set as a gift. Some say it's a therapeutic hobby and I don't disagree
