I'm thinking about starting a new thread for this, just to get attention.
It's been almost a year.
How can I make the instructions more clear and easy?
Any suggestions?

(I still haven't found anyone near me!)

Many people have expressed an interest in somehow narrowing down things to find out who is near them. If they could pin themselves and look at the map it might help.

Many have expressed interest in some way to narrow things down into regions and what not. They're kind of experimenting with it in the Love and Dating forum, but I figure it could be easier if people could see where everyone is in relation to one another and perhaps have their pins link to their friend or dating profiles.
I'd try posting this thread in those and see if more people bite. Just let them know to indicate on their pins or however if they are looking for friends, dating, or none.

Maybe the individual could put a link inside the bubble to the spot on the person's favorite Aspie dating site? I'm not interested myself, and I don't know how that stuff works.

I would maintain that the primary purpose of the map is to allow Aspies to form local support networks.
But I can see how it could double as a matchmaking thing.
I'm getting ready to start a new thread on this topic, with new & improved instructions.
Any more ideas you want to toss at me right now would be helpful.
