What kind of friends? I'm curious as to why a neurotypical is looking for friends on an autism website.

Well, I got my master's degree in speech-language pathology in 2007 and then worked at a middle school for 3 years as the SLP there. I fell IN LOVE with Asperger's syndrome and decided that I wanted to go back to school and get my Ph.D. I'm currently working as a teacher assistant at a university and working on getting my doctorate. I'm looking forward to meeting some cool people on here!

I do! I felt like once I started working with and getting to know people with AS I identified with the anxiety that some of the people with whom I worked felt. I've struggled with it for awhile myself and it was nice to be able to share that with someone. Plus I think that y'all are just a cool group of people!
