Hi everybody.
My name is Paul and I'm new here.
I don't have an official diagnosis, but I suspect I am lightly ASD.
All my life I've suspected something was off with me, but I never really knew what.
Making small talk and friends has always been damn near impossible for me, and at every job I've ever had people told me they thought I was a robot (or a serial killer) when they first met me because of my standoff-ish-ness.
Plus, as far as I can remember, spending my days having to deal with people at work or whatnot always left me EXHAUSTED at the end of the day.
Like I said, I don't have an official diagnosis, but I do have an appointment with a psychiatrist next week, and I plan on bringing it up with her.
Anyway, happy to be here and maybe, just maybe, finally figuring out why I've always been so different than all the other people around me.
