Hi,
I am new to this sort of thing (posting on the net) but I feel I need help. I have just started a relationship with a man who suffers from Aspergers - we have only just found out and he is struggling with everything just now. we are both in our 40's and know very little about Aspergers despite me being brought up by a father with the condition - this was only recently discovered but explains a lot of problems through growing up with him and his routines and non communication. I just wondered if there were any support groups I could attend where I could meet other Women supporting Men with AS. I live in Lincolnshire UK.

Thank you

Hello welcome to Wrong Planet. You may have better luck in the love and dating section. But don't give up i am very sure, someone will be able to help. But dont just look for woman supporting AS men, the pendulum swings both ways. You may be very surprised at the number of NT (neurotypical) men supporting AS females. =)

I hope all goes well for you!!

Hi,

Thank you for all the welcomes.

I am pleased I found this site and will continue to watch the posts to see if I can help my aspie, I love him very much despite his different behaviour and moods. I have ordered books on the subject to try and help as there doesn't seem to be any support locally, but the fact that I am trying to help my aspie has sent him over the edge. I understand this may be a long process but I really want to look after him - something he doesn't accept right now as he wanted to look after me.

Watch this space.
