high cholesterol for many, is more a matter of an [too] acidic body chemistry, than in eating too many saturated fats. the acidic condition is caused by too many sugars [whose associated high-acid condition causes lesions to develop on the interior walls of blood vessels which the body tries to patch over with, you guessed it, cholesterol] such as those featured in refined carbs such as pizza crust. not that pizza is bad but too much of anything including refined carbs is not good. a thin crust [maybe whole wheat?] would be better than a thick deep dish crust. just a thought.

I've already cut out sugar - refined and otherwise - in addition to milk and dairy products and most meats.

If I cut out carbs entirely, that leaves little except high-fiber foods and water.

Low-acid diets have been pitched as the latest cure-all for everything from acid reflux to AIDS, so I'm not buying into it.

Done. I eat only whole-grain pastas, pizza crusts, and bread products.

Which is why I was so interested in mommaBFBW's cauliflower pizza crust.

Which brings us back on topic!

:D

if I was there, I would eat it, unless it has olives in it which I cannot stand. otherwise, the microbes would love it, I am sure. cold comfort, I know. Image

olives? NEVER yuck! i do cook really well and i enjoy feeding other humans.

hopefully soon i will have a yard big enough for a compost pile. then nothing will be truly wasted if it is all "recycled"
