This is a peaceful aspie video of conflict and balance found in
all things aspie related. The poem/song is by the Moody Blues
from THE QUESTION OF BALANCE album in 1970

okey doke..this is kind of embarrasing....these are videos of my performing in the band Rosebud that I was in from the age of 15 to the age of 25...it was the main source of socialization for me during this time period...most of this footage is about 11 years old..i think...(please pardon it's dated-ness)I was pretty akward and weird back in those days..I did't know how to connect with the audience and I make some pretty weird faces....and actually our music is not much like anything I actually listen to..I had no idea what to do on stage so i just jumped around a bunch...Frequently after shows I would go semi-catatonic....we did open up for a few national acts believe it or not

i got too embarrased by showing these so I erased them....

instead here is this from several years later

http://www.fluff.tv/flufftv.mov

I am the voice of the male monkey
my boyfriend is the author of puppet show and voice of female monkey
my roommate/bandmate who also is neuro-different is the great mongasuto
the keyboards are done by my other bandmate/roommate...

sorry bout erasing the other one..I was feeling haunted by the fact that I had posted them..if anyone really wants to see them they can maybe do a search for Rosebud, the band on you tube

A collection of junk that I've done for my degree (all at super low quality due to my slow connection):

This one is unfinished. Hence the rough edges.

This one was meant to demonstrate in-camera editing.

There was a third, but for some reason it won't work.

Enjoy. Or not.

WOW, It was LITERALLY painful to watch(It hit some frequencies that literally HURT!). Does anyone else feel that way? Outside of the being overly sensitive to louder sounds, this is the kind of thing I mean by sensory skewing. I can hear some sounds others don't, and some hurt me more than they hurt others.

BTW it is blessed, not bless it.

SteveK - I'm very sensitive to those sorts of things too. I can't even listen to music sung by people with sharp or soprano voices. I made it about two seconds into that video (no offense to the person who made it, it's just my ears)

Hi, Radioactive Hazzard

I am glad you did your first video? or is this your first video?

I can understand your fruastrations. I am now 41 and got DX'd
in 2005 at age 38. I can now say with time passing past the dx
it isn't relevant unless it is a last recourse.

Hmmmm? What kind of work do you do?
I personally was homeless most of my life due to serious
underemployment(3k-5k average). So I had nothing to
lose getting dx'd. BUT...if you have a job that does background
checks...That is a different kettle of fish.

Hmmm? I hope you feel better and thanks for being brave
to post yourself. Why a psychiatrist? why not a a psycnologist?
The AusM (autism society) psychologist dx'd me after I started
meeetings with the autism monthly group.

Are meds? your solution? That is upto you? That is what a
psychiatrist would do! Disguising not dealing with! or What
do you expect from a psychicatrist that a psychologist can't help?

Hmmmm? Thanks for being brave to post yourself.

:-)

Well, I'm unemployed and untrained. I barely passed highschool. I have a phobia of meds

And I say Psychiatrist because thats the first thing that came to my head.(any sort of social worker/therapist/psychologist would do) This was meant to be raw and uncut. No pussyfooting around. Clarifications afterward.

I've been having alot of troubel getting a job where I live, not to mention my own difficulties with Driving which reduce my radius of travel from home very severely. I'm afraid behind the wheel. Sometimes I'm ok, but the old man is a hard teacher. Not much praise for good deeds, and alot of yelling for shortcomings. If I don't figure out something soon, I might as well be homeless.

Some days I can't even get out the door. I freeze up then flee back to my room for solace.

Hi, Radioactive hazard

Quote:
Well, I'm unemployed and untrained.

Hmmm? what kind of work did you do? I personally
did foodservice so I didn't starve due to the fact most
NT jobs didn't fit well with me do to communcation
issues(office communications, co-worker communication,
management communication, and sharing).

These are pivitol parts of anyjob though no one*NT thinks
of them as important. They are a unwritten rule!

Quote:
I barely passed highschool.

Me either. I left in 10th grade and placed in college levels
later(academic tests) but wasn't ready for college at 20
either. Can you describe your highschool years?
Mine were do to lack of social skills and interest in H.S
due to how I learn(self taught myself by 31 for my G.E.D) in 97'

Quote:
I have a phobia of meds

I dislike meds due to being unmedicated my whole life, I can
see how one additction leads to another(see...alcholoics, drug addicts,
overcompensative personalities). Being told a pill solves
my problems, or just to SHUT THAT PERSON UP! isn't a solution.
Sorry for my harsh words...this is why I wouldn"t be popular on
wrongplanet and just stick to the video editing pages mostly.

Quote:

True, I had no insurance, and went to a friends house in
Minnesota so i could put homelessness behind me and
start the SSI/SSDI/SDRI track. Being mostly homeless
puts me in a position where I am keenly aware of my
vulnerability and thus allowing opportunity so I can go to
school and make a better me!

What are your county services like?
Being homeless is the symptom(lived in a chaotic and unhappy home)
and I will ask .....is this your case? And what is/was happening?

Quote:

Your like me when I first got to W.P in 2005. Und-DX'd
and seeking clarification of what steps to take that would
get me off this homeless due to underemployment track
and the psychological help to look forward.

Quote:
I've been having alot of troubel getting a job where I live,

That can be solved paritallly by taking your chances going
somewhere else(as would be said by a NT)....

Have you checked out your county services for your
mental wellbeing? a example:

I don't leave Minneapolis until I am stabilized emotionally
(not drug induced and disguised). Then school, social issues,
ectetra can have a more positive recourse.

The running away is temporary due to you still have to live
with yourself.

Any ideas where you can get county help?

Quote:

I broke this in parts.....not understanding completely!

I don't drive a car. I couldn't afford one! I find
that one spends $300 p/m minium for one(used).
$3600 p/y overall.

Once you fix your headspace....then find a place with a
bus system worth noting.

Same here. My step-grandfather never understood me
so it was "Boy! my food", Boy! my house" and thus from age
15-38 I was emotionally homeless, physically homeless,
abusive situtated elsewhere(this is what happens when you
run from yourself without understanding yourself emotionally).

Can you describe your situation?

I agree with this feeling completely(past)
