I'm not sure if I still have them, but I used to love MLP (the original '80's ones!) - I kept ahold of them for years and haven't seen them since moving to our new house - but I can't remember giving them to a charity shop... They have to be here somewhere! I had the stable and a carry-box to take them to friends' houses!

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): diagnosed with Asperger's 3 years ago; medical professionals are pretty sure I went undiagnosed for almost my entire life.

Favorite subjects: English, sign language

Year/Grade: I'm a fifth-year senior in college.

Favorite music: Kate Rusby, musicals, "Glee", Regina Spektor

Books: Harry Potter, mysteries, The Spellman Files mysteries, pretty much everything that's not history or westerns

TV shows/Movies: Alias, Bones, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, House, NCIS, Mythbusters, Serenity, Dollhouse, Medium

Instrument: I play the piano, a variety of whistles/pipes, and I was working on the violin

Do you like sports? I'm not really big on playing sports, but there are some I enjoy watching or being a part of.

Family: at the moment I live at college; I have parents and a younger sister.

Clothing: I prefer comfort over fashion. I like to wear the same types of clothes to cut down on sensory overstimulation. I don't like a lot of tags or anything tight. The things I own are durable, because I also hate clothes shopping, so I try to buy things that will last a long time.

Job: I work as an aide for a young lady on a ventilator, and I'm a counselor at different camps for kids with disabilities.

Plans for the future? I'd like to graduate from college, get a job, and adopt some special needs kids.

Why are you here? I recently found out about AS, and my life is suddenly beginning to make sense. I want to connect with others who have had similar experiences that I thought I was alone in having.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I was not diagnosed, but my son was a year ago.. after exhibiting the exact same behaviors I had at his age. I wish I had been diagnosed as a child.
