When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): With NLD about 5 years ago.
Favorite subjects: Always liked English best through high school, I'm majoring in theatre in college.
Year/Grade: Senior in college...aiiieee I graduate in 2.5 weeks!
Favorite music: Hip-hop, Rock, Indiepop
Books: My all-time favorite = "Letters from a Stoic" by Seneca. I like books that are like notes, letters or journals for some reason.
TV shows/Movies: TV= Lost, Gilmore Girls, What About Brian (mostly to laugh at), Law & Order...I watch too much TV. Movies = Adaptation, Rushmore, Amelie, Withnail & I, anything weird and without a plot. 
Instrument: Drums & piano
Do you like sports? Does bowling count as a sport? I do love bowling...also ice and roller skating. I've been known to play soccer and flag football also.
Family: 2 parents, 1 younger sister.

Job: Guess I have to get one soon...eeek!
Plans for the future? Going to music business school next year... so maybe I'll start my own record label someday.

Location: Alabama (originally from Charlotte NC)
Hobbies and Interests: Writing, reading, running, kung fu and tai chi, strategy games, helping people.
Why are you here? I came here to find more people like me.
When were you diagnosed? Still waiting on official word, but it's kinda obvious to everyone around me.
Favorite subjects: Any of the hobbies listed above, human interaction, comic books, animals and their behavior, genetics (and some biology in general), religion and religions throughout history, government in all of it's structure (the administrative side, economics), law enforcement and criminology.
Year/Grade: I have a masters degree in public administration, a bachlors degree in forensics and an associates degree in law enforcement.
Favorite music: Rock (modern, classic, metal, alternative, indy -- most of it), classical music, anything new or underground and just about everything else as long as it isn't rap or country.
Books: Atlas Shrugged and Mary Shelley's Frankenstein are my personal favorites, but I like many more.
TV shows/Movies: The Road to Perdition, The Shawshank Redemption, Unforgiven, The Bourne Identity and Bourne Supremacy, plus many many more -- I'm a huge movie freak. The only TV I like on the other hand is adult swim.
Instrument: Trumpet (it's been many years ago, however -- I don't think I could play it now if I had to)
Do you like sports? North American Pro and (some) College Football.
Family: Single (and happy that my family lives three states away

Clothing: I'm a teeshirt and jeans kinda guy, but even in that I like good quality. I have been known to sport other sorts of looks.

Plans for the future? This whole AS thing kinda hangs some things for me. Part of what I'm doing now is trying to figure out what I'm going to do next.
Any comments? I really like people. All kinds. I think it's all the different combinations of traits, which carries over to my writing (I'm a big character oriented writer). I just love people and find them so terribly facinating and I'll always help anyone who asks, even the ones who hate me or would wrong me.

Year/Grade: Alan is 6 1/2 and is in Kindergarten.
Favorite music: Alan loves Star Wars
Books: Alan loves anything about star wars, dinosaurs, baseball (he reads at between a 4-6th grade level) (still waiting on formal test results on exactly what level)

Books: Peter pan because I love the themes it deals with. I am in love with the idea of eternal youth and think there is so much beauty in the world of children adn Peter pan portrays an important message about the importance of keeping the spirit of youth alve.
Notre dame de Paris - the most moving and amazing book i have ever read...would recomend it to anyone. I will never get over this book, it is incredible.
Wuthering heights - beautiful story - amazingly written.

If it's historical, scientific, philosophical, science fiction, or true literature, I'll read it.

Do you like sports? If so, which one? I live in Alabama, where Football is an organized religion. I watch a couple of games a year, but I'm not a fanatic and I don't play. I lift weights, but not competitively. I also enjoy marksmanship, but I'm not good enough to compete.
Family: Best parents ever, an older sister (27), two younger brothers (19 and 15). My middle brother has traits on the spectrum more pronounced than mine, but I haven't talked to him about it yet.

Job: My sister and I co-own and operate an online and convention-based retail concern specializing in printed t-shirts, beanies/hats, and accessories in the geek/anime/sci-fi fashion niche.
Plans for the future? Long term relationship/marriage, finish all these books I'm trying to write, get an MBA, and live life to the fullest!
Any comments? Well, since finding out about AS about a month ago, I've really found a number of websites and books helpful. My ex-girlfriend is an aspie (and proud!), and when I talked to her about my "discovery" she had a duh-moment, and told me I had neon signs flashing aspie all around me, but she thought I was just a peculiar NT. I decided that as I go about getting diagnosed professionally, and seek to interact better with NTs, I should get to know other people on the spectrum as well, which is why I'm here! I'm from Alabama but you wouldn't know it from talking to me ^_--. If you're from the Alabama/Tennessee area, get in touch and we should meet up somewhere!
