This is my first post so forgive me if I am posting at the wrong place or whatever.

I don't know what to say yet, so I will post my pic as pictures can say 1000 words. And if you want to know more about me check my profile, my Yahoo 360 blog, and my YouTube page...

I have recetly found out that I have Asperger's (not diagnosed yet) and it feels like a
great relief. All of my life I felt things that I knew others around
me did not feel, see or even realize.

I grew up in a family that had very little understanding of my
situation and parents who used punishment to 'cure' me of my
abnormal behavior. Learning that I have Asperger's made so much
sense because I could now explain why my ife was as it was, why my
parents felt I was asocial, selfish, lazy, clumsy, and emotionaly
distant to them. They compared me to my younger brother and simply
thought I was a rotten apple they had to teach how to become a
decent human being.

When their punishment failed to have the results they wanted, they
abandoned me and deprived me of their care, love and material
support. I left home at 17 to try and survive on my own. I did. I
have a university degree in psychology and sociology, I had a well
paying job, and did many years volunteer work with blind and deaf-
blind people.

During the last 5 years, though, things changed for me. I became
seriously ill and had to have heart surgery and was diagnosed also
with diabetes and a genetic neuro-muscular condition called
Charcot-Marie- Tooth disease. All these health problems, created
additional stress and that has a severe effect on the few social
contacts I had.

My parents have both passed away and I have no other family. I now
also have no friends. I would like to meet other adults (male and
female) who have Asperger's and share experiences.

Please reply here or email me at northernstar7112 at yahoo.com

Hi Deccajay,

If it's you in the pic then I know I will like you for sure. I had a big black male cat that looked very similar to the cat on your picture! I love cats especially black ones, and other animals. I used to have lots of cats and a dog and a bunny rabbit for a while. I don't have any now cause I can't take care of them due to my other illness (neuromuscular condition).
How old are you? I am 45 but feel and look much younger than my age. On the picture above I am 40 years old. I have now shorter hair but still no wrinkles hehehe!

Hope to hear from you again!

yes! thats me and my boy in the pictue. here is a link to a resent cat thread if you are interested in seeing all the kitty pictures people posted http://www.wrongplanet.net/modules.php? ... ic&t=26146
I dont think i cared all that much for black cats, I thought they were boring, I was very wrong and Leo proved it to me, now every time I see a black cat I want to take it home!!
here is a slide show I made of ALOT of pictures of Leo http://s62.photobucket.com/albums/h83/d ... secleo.flv

I am sorry that you cant have pets right now. I dont know what I would do if I didnt have my Leo. and I have a bird to...her name is bird.

I am 24 but almost 25. I think i still look young for my age too, I think it depends on the situation.
If you would like to e-mail me my e-mail is [email protected]

talk to you soon

I haven't read your intro post (sorry about that), but I had to say this: You've got the same username as the shortened version of Starbuline (I call her Star for short), so I hope I don't confuse everybody!

Also, during the Christmas season, I was in Holland/Amsterdam for a bit! I loved being there, back in my parent's homeland and stuff. I liked the dykes in the city, wish Wellington had some of those!

Hi Deccajay,

I watched the slide show of Leo and I now know for sure that he is very much like my cat Maharatja. That was his name. I had him since he was born to the day he died at the ripe age of 16 years. I had to put him to sleep because he got very sick and he was suffering a lot the last few weeks of his life. He died in my arms and I buried him in a forest. I miss him a lot and I know that no other cat will ever replace him. He was one of a kind.

Looking at the slide show I got an idea of your house too. You have an Apple computer. I want to get one of those too. I have used the G8 before and I loved it. I want a laptop not a desktop. I also noticed that your boyfriend (I assume he is yor boyfriend, he could be your brother too) was in the army. Did he have to serve in Iraq too?

Il iked the most the pics of Leo and the pumpkin those were very Halloweenish! You could use them as a Halloween greeting card.

I wish I had taken so many pics of my cat. I have some but they are not digital. I will have to use some of my time and scan them. When I do I will put them up on photobucket too and send you the link to see them. It might take a while before I get to do that but once I do you will be the first to see them.

I tried to email you the above twice but your email address is incorrect. Please send me an email at nortehrnstar7112 at yahoo.com so that I can reply to you.

Star

To Graelwyn, KBAKZ, SpaceCase and Tequila:

Thank you all for your warm welcome. I would like to have email correspondance with anyone who is also interested in maintaining such pen-paling!

Hope to hear from you again,
