Hello Wrong Plant,
I signed up quite some time ago, and it appears I've made some posts, but I've been mostly non-existent.
A bit about me:
I have a child who was diagnosed with Asperger's (way back when) which lead to my own diagnosis of ASD as an adult years ago.
I'm a mother of an adult child, as well as a mother of a very small child.
I'm interested in discussing topics regarding autism, parenting, parenting children with ASD, being a parent who is on the spectrum, spirituality, religion, gardening, travel, various areas of science, adaptability, and really anything "worthwhile" .. yes, I realize that's relative.
I struggle with friendships, both making and retaining them. I find most people I speak with to be very shallow and interested in things that I don't really think matter (celebrity gossip, fashion, who is going to win an Oscar...) and I'd like to find people to chat with who have an understanding of what it's like being on the spectrum, as well as care about the state of the world, life, reality, and are curious about life.
I'm a huge fan of Tool, Puscifer, and all things Maynard James Keenan (including his lovely wine).
I also am a huge fan of the Oxford comma.
It would be awesome to have random conversations with people who might be kind of like myself. Maybe even make some friends IRL.
It's all out there! Feel free to message me and say hi!
I love word games, so I'm always up for playing those too.
