Greetings everyone,
I have been lurking for a while. Finally decided to join. Currently a full time student, "pre-med".
Never met another black female Aspie like myself and would like to get to know one. However, I would love to connect with everyone.
Thanks! :D

Hello!

I've noticed that AS is far less common not only in women (which is well documented) but black people. I've only known two fully black aspies in my lifetime (all others were mixed) and both were male. The demographics of AS are very interesting.

Welcome Mallysa - pull up a chair and make yourself at home. Lots of great people here discussing all sorts of interesting things.

I don't really think it's less common in blacks, but that blacks on average tend to be less educated in autism, so fewer people get diagnosed.

Welcome, Mallysa. I'm Andrew (or WoW_Wow on this forum). I won't be much help in finding an African-American female Aspie...I'm a heterosexual twentysomething white boy who's a nerd and an atheist. I know, I sound so typical for an Aspie. But I've met other black female Aspies posting their introductions on here.

EDIT: Here's one. viewtopic.php?t=297194

Hello. My name is Simon.

They aren't rare. They just normally become their respective tribe mystic.

The non-USA cultures in the world have always believed in the spiritual/that there was more than we could see with our eyes.

If the culture/knowledge of that is lost to you, you become formless. Autistic.

Women mature faster than men. I can prove that mathematically if you like.

Hello. My name is Simon.
