I'm a member of AFF, and I'm also known as SoupChef there. I'm 15 years old and I'm pretty sure I'm an aspie, but I haven't been officially diagnosed. I have a lot of classic aspie symptoms (Hypersensetivity to sound, temperature and certain textures, poor fine motor skills, prefer being alone, have a hard time making friends, don't pick up on sarcasm or social cues very well, obsessive interests), except for one thing; I can make eye contact sometimes, if I'm comfortable with someone.

Welcome! Come on in, grab a seat anywhere, or wander around and see what everyone else is doing. Aspie or not, just seeing how other people have learned to deal with life issues is wonderful. Ask questions. Read threads. Have a good time!

it's not that aspies don't know how to make it. fresh from wiki:
‘Difficulty reading the social and emotional messages in the eyes - those with AS don't look at eyes often, and when they do, they can't read them.’
can you read the other people?
anyway, welcome on WP!

Hi!

You probably make only bird's nest soup after I read what you wrote in your introductory thread!

Alex will not be very happy with you!

Welcome! Alex doesn't like any mention of the other site. It is forbidden. That is what the bird's nest soup comment was about. WP is a much different site than "the other" site. Most of us feel that this one is better and that is why we are here!! :D We have fun!!

The term "soup chef" comes from an episode of The L Word when one of the characters, Dana, has a crush on a girl (Lara) who works as a sous chef, and keeps refering to her as the "soup chef".

We don't allow weak links here, only real Anne Robinsons!

If you reply to this thread and you're happy, maybe I'll offer you some soup!
