Recently I read an article and was so shocked how much I could identify myself with it. Looked up Asperger's and fell of the chair. It was like someone stalked me during my whole life, even knew my inner thoughts and wrote my biography.
Thus I tried to find someone who is familiar with female Asperger's, but disappointedly came home with "you have emotions, autistic people don't have" or "your cognitive profile is not too spiky... there is a big difference between your worst and best subtest, but it is always much bigger in case of autism" and so on. I wanted to know whether this can really be the case for all of them, this is how I ended up on this forum and confirmed it's bullsh*t.
I promise not to ask many "do all Asperger'/HFA have ..." questions 
Meanwhile looking for a new doctor who knows his/her job better.

Hi welcome to wrong planet. Sorry you have been talking to the wrong people. I'm not sure who you have been talking to but I agree they don't know sh*t about aspergers or and autism. Some professionals are quite knowledgeable, most aren't unfortunately. Its a matter of finding the good ones.
Yes, I feel that way, very unfortunate. It was waste of money as they were private service providers. I was thinking to find someone who might do online diagnosis via Skype. Which isn't the best solution, but probably the only way for me to spend some time with a really knowledgeable professional. Actually I found an Australian psychologist, and hope to hear from her soon
